We founded BirdDog Carrier Services based on our experience in the trucking industry. We saw a system that was unfair to small and medium trucking companies, owner operators, and independent contractors – all of whom deserve better services. The factoring system that we experienced was complex with lots of hidden charges, large reserves, high fees, slow to hand out money, and NOT customer service oriented. BirdDog Carrier Services, located in the southeast with its base in Charlotte, NC, set out to change those things.

First of all there is no reserve. You drove, you paid the fuel, you need the money. With a bad economy, brokers/customers are paying slower; we give you your money upfront. You shouldn’t have to worry about keeping track of your reserve, trusting the “bank” to be honest, and wondering how much you really have or will get. Next, there are no hidden or additional fees like set-up charges, etc. We charge a flat percent and give you your money, however you need it (T-check, ACH, mail, FedEx, or pick it up at the office—whatever you need) in under 24 hrs; most same day if we can get the bills in a timely manner. Next, what customers like most about us is that we want carriers to feel comfortable to call us, walk in, email, text, or whatever you prefer and get the information you need ASAP. Flexibility and approachability has been our goal from the beginning. You don’t have to go through complex phone systems, you don’t have to do it online, and our thought was you shouldn’t have to do it at all. You will know after working with us that by the time you would think to try to find out where your money was (or if its ready), its already printed and mailed, deposited, or waiting on you to pick it up!

Freight bill factoring / purchasing doesn’t have to be hard, it’s easy—that’s how we see it. You pulled the load, we will pay your deserved funds and invoice the customer. There are no games.
